2010 totals!

As the year 2010 came to a close, the total weight for pills collected came to be just over 76 pounds!  Not surprisingly, the collection box needed to be cleaned out monthly and on one occasion, the lid would not shut as there were so many pills and bottles in the box!!!

Glenwood Springs P2D2

On Earth Day, April 22, 2010, Glenwood Springs unveiled the first disposal collection box located at the front doors to the Glenwood Springs Police Department.  With the help of Glenwood Springs High School students, the collection box was made possible by local sponsors including Rotary Club, Valley View Hospital, the Colorado River Water Conservation District and the Glenwood Springs Police Department.
